Gary L. Bastien, AIA / NCARB is a licensed architect in 14 states, including California and New York, and is certified by the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB). He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Architecture from the University of Southern California.

Bastien and Associates, Inc. was founded by Gary Bastien in 1982 and provides the broad spectrum of commercial architectural services to clients around the world. The firm focuses on education, office, and industrial projects with a special emphasis on movie and television studios including live entertainment venues.

Bastien and Associates, Inc. has gained worldwide recognition designing studio facilities in a functional yet cost effective way and pioneered the use of tilt-up concrete technology to substantially reduce the cost of traditional sound stages. Bastien has defined what has become known as the studio “Hollywood Design Standard” in terms of state of the art technical performance, user friendly program adjacencies and operational efficiencies. Bastien has programmed and masterplanned over forty studio projects domestically and internationally, including over 150 sound stages.

Mr. Bastien is the Chief Administrative Officer responsible for the design and coordination of all architectural and planning projects in the office. His professional experience includes providing services for numerous award winning entertainment, commercial, industrial, and renovation projects for the past 35 years.
